Some of our younger swimmers competed at the H&SC Invitational Meet In Woking last weekend, with great support from Lara and Hannah as their Coach and Club Captain respectively. Check out the great photos on the Wey Valley Instagram account!
For the boys, there were individual race wins for Owen Angell, Thomas Fowler and Theo Shaw. For the girls, Ava Hodlin won 2 individual races and Ellie Ashworth won an amazing 4 races!
We also had some Top 3 overall individual placings, with Thomas Fowler taking 2nd place amongst the 11 year old boys, and Anastasia Shaw coming 3rd in the 9 year old girl category.
To put the icing on the cake, Owen Angell (10 year old boys), Ava Hodlin (10 year old girls) and Ellie Ashworth (11 year old girls) were all the overall individual WINNERS in their age groups!
Congratulations to Ellie, Ava & Owen on their wins, and well done to all of our swimmers, as they really did the club proud!
As these swimmers come up through the ranks, the future of the club looks bright!
