Club Championships

Our annual Club Championships took place over the last 3 weekends, concluding yesterday afternoon at Guildford Spectrum. There were many close and exciting races, a host of PBs, and even some new club records from Lilia Moore and Martin Greenbank. Well done Lilia and Martin!

Yesterday's session featured all 4 strokes, with 50m races for our younger swimmers and 100m races for everyone else. 7 swimmers completed a "clean sweep" of age group wins, so congratulations to Maleeha Hirji, Lottie Quinn, Lilia Moore, Jacob Moore, Ethan French, Felix Abel and Mark Tuddenham on this great achievement.

There were 2 age group wins for George Fowler, Lily Maguire, Phoebe Jopson, Gemma Spencer, Tom Parkes, Liam Androne, Josh Clapp, Sibella Colton, Maia Bentley, Bethany Whittaker, Duanae Godfrey, Evie Johnson and Owen Angell, which is also a really impressive effort!

The other age group winners were, Edie Wilmott, Theo Shaw, India Steer, Abi Garner, Alex Paterson, Dom Ascough, Lauren Johnson, Rosie Maguire, Danny Saunders, Evie Flew, Ariana Leon-Ayarza, Ellie Din, Olivia Giles, Nicy Coutts, Naila Farage-O'Reilly and Daniel Arriola-Alves.

Well done to all of our swimmers for really pushing themselves and also for the great camaraderie and team spirit in supporting their friends. Thanks to all of our officials and volunteers for ensuring that every session was run very professionally and on-time, and to all of the parents and supporters who came along to cheer everyone on!

Many of the age group categories were really close and hard fought, and it will be very interesting to see who the cup winners will be, at our awards evening on December 9th!
