Competition - Open Meets
Open Meets - are licensed events run by swimming clubs and open to anyone to enter. Your swimmer will need to be registered as a Cat-2 member to compete, but most in Junior and Senior Squad will be. They are a good way of getting updated times or times for events you have not tried before. At Cranleigh's open meets and some selected other opens (i.e. Guildford City, the Lis Hartley Open in Crawley, and the Hart Opens).
We are required to have coaches poolside at these or at least swimmers under arranged care of another club. If you spot events you want to do, do Martin Greenbank (Competitions Secretary) know as he can assess the feasibility of these. .
Swim England compiles all the licensed meets and you can search here for other events on their website.
