A tough night for Wey Valley with a number of higher division teams competing at Spectrum as the gala was amalgamated with the one due to be held at Woking. Again the Wey Valley team did a superb job hosting and many thanks to the Referees: Tony Davenport and Christina Victor and our starter Jeni Colbourne, all of whom gave up their evening without having any children swimming
A great swim and our only 1st place from Luke Robinson in the Boys U14 100m Free, no second places but a 3rd place from Ollie Taylor-Rose in the U14 100m Breaststroke and the other 3rd place along with a 4th place in the two U14 boys relays (Jack Porter, Nic Esselen, Oliver Taylor-Rose, Luke Robinson).
There were 15 Personal Bests out of the 34 individual swims and Wey Valley swims of note, each taking over two seconds off their previous Personal Best, were:
-
Nic Esselen 100m Butterfly taking an impressive 9.13 seconds off his Personal Best.
-
Oliver Taylor-Rose 100m Breaststroke
-
Luke Robinson 100m Freestyle
-
Jack Porter 100m Backstroke
