After a break in 2010 the annual Hants and South Coast League Invitational Meet was reinstated this year, hosted by Woking SC.

Eighteen junior Wey Valley swimmers each swam 50m of three strokes with the points from each swim combined to give overall age group winners and club placings.

A huge number of Personal Bests especially in the early races and congratulations to Jake Paterson coming second in the 50m Butterfly and Edward Galvin third place in the 50m Backstroke.

Five swimmers gained places in the overall Top Ten of their age group: 4th Edward Galvin (9yrs), 5th Chan Thilakawardana (9yrs), 10th Jake Paterson (9yrs),  10th India Wildman (9yrs) and 10th Rachel Jenkins (11yrs).  This impressive performance by our nine year old boys and girl meant Wey Valley came 3rd overall in the 9 year old age group.

Ella Hinkley claimed a very impressive set of 4 PBs whilst Amy McAlister, Izzy Hammersley, and Rachel Jenkins bagged 3 each.  Molly Worthington, Edward Steer and Edward Galvin took over 5 seconds off their previous PBs whilst Georgia Brown took a huge 12.02 secs off her previous 50m Breaststroke.
