Club records are the All Time Personal Best Times swum at an event held under ASA Laws.
The current records date back to 1st January 1994. Swimmers have the opportunity to achieve a new record
at the Club Championships (an annual event) or when swimming for the team in galas hosted by other
registered clubs. Swimmers must be members of the club (membership fees paid) for their times to qualify.
For 25m distances relay split times recorded by the Team Manager, or nominated timekeeper, may be allowed
subject to suitable conditions. Time trials in training sessions do not qualify.
Club records are both Age and Time dependent. The club has club records for the following age groups; U8,
U10, U12, U14, U16 and Open. The age group in which a swimmer falls for club records is determined as their
age at 31st December (for the year in which the event is held). To qualify for a record the swimmer cannot
be older than the specified age group on the day of the event. For example, a swimmer who was born on 25
December 1994 will (for the whole of 2004) fall into the U12 age group for club records, as the swimmer
would be 10 on 31 December 2004. If they were born a week later (on 1 January 1995) then they would not fall
into the U10 age group for club records as they would be 9 on 31 December 2004.
Club records serve as a benchmark for swimmer progression separate from the ASA
competitive awards (bronze, silver, gold and platinum). They also illustrate the standard of the club
by reference to ASA grades issued periodically. Clubs, teams and swimmers may be graded AAA, AA, A, B or
C, with B being a good club standard and AAA being national level.
The club records are stored in an online database. Search the database by filling in one or more fields of
the formbelow to refine your search.
